Nearly One-in-Five Workers Do Not Have Health Insurance

Almost 20 percent of US workers (or more than 27 million people) do not have health insurance, according to the Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation-an increase of more than 5 percent from the mid-1990s. High employer premiums are the main culprit behind this trend. Costs are rising six to seven times faster than wages.
