The State of Massachusetts, the Workforce Solutions Group and MIRA's English Works Coalition are pleased to alert you to a new state workforce training grant opportunity. On November 4, Secretaries Suzanne Bump and Paul Reville announced the $1.4 million "Learn At Work" Program to fund workplace-based English instruction and basic skills training. With an application due date of December 23, the Workforce Solutions Group will provide information at its Cape and Islands regional meeting next Friday, November 20th. We have invited State officials to be on hand to answer questions about the "Learn At Work" Program and the grant process. The meeting agenda will also cover other State funding and legislative issues and plans for 2010. We hope you will attend. Feel free to forward this to your networks.
